LDIPInter explains the theory about automatic measurements of images by means of correlation. Several tasks (exercises) are given in order to carry out active learning. The tasks have to be solved by means of a calculator or a spreadsheet both of which are integrated in the software. The program tests the given answers and informs about their correctness by means of sound and text. The program uses animation and allows for interaction. Practical applications like the automatic measurement of crosses (fiducial marks) of a reséau image and the automatic orientation of aerial images by means of existing orthoimages and height models are also part of this teaching and learning package. Simulation and experimenting is used to give a better understanding what is going on at the automatic measurements of imagery.

LDIPinter runs on the Internet by means of a browser, therefore, other aids and literature can be accessed. Currently only the browser `Netscape Communicator 4.7' is successfully tested. Other browsers may give problems. LDIPInter is updated from time to time with new themes and corrections. The perfect run of LDIPInter with other browsers is also a design goal. The development takes place under Java Development Kit version 1.1.x . and not all browsers are compatible with the used development tool yet.

If Netscape Communicator 4.7 is not available on your computer you can download it free of charge. For downloading Netscape Communicator 4.7 follow this link

The current version of LDIPInter (2.0) can be used when clicking on the button below.

Your browser doesn't understand the <APPLET> tag.

You can also download LDIPInter to your disk in order to run it without Web connection.
Any comments about LDIPInter or bugs found while trying it will be highly appreciated by the development team.
