Goals

The "EuroSDR Education Service" is planned as Internet based distance-learning courses about EuroSDR projects. Each course will last two weeks. A seminar of 2 or 3 days will introduce the computer conference system, the educational material and the topics of the research projects. There will be opportunity to get in touch with the members of the EuroSDR research group during the seminar as well as later during the two-week distance learning for an EuroSDR project.

As target group for the EuroSDR education service are anticipated: Mid-career professionals, who work at the National mapping agencies, private firms as well as teachers, researchers, and students of universities, ITC and similar educational institutions. The applicants from the EuroSDR member countries will have priority in participation. Diplomas for successful participation in the courses will be handed out at the end of the courses.
